An older woman learning to use her phone with a patient companion

Staying in touch should not feel like a hurdle.

Patient, repeated help with phones, tablets, video calls and device setup, at whatever pace it takes.

What this looks like

Technology confidence

Most technology frustration is not about capability. It is about being rushed, and about nobody being willing to explain the same thing a fourth time without a sigh. We will explain it a fourth time, and a fifth, and we will write it down so the fifth time is not necessary.

The goal is always independent use rather than dependence on us. That means leaving written steps in plain language, setting devices up so they work more efficiently, and resisting the temptation to simply take the phone and do it faster. A task done for someone teaches nothing.

This is often where families feel the difference first. A parent who can reliably start a video call is a parent who is genuinely in touch, not one who is waiting to be called. Where a family wants regular notes after visits we are glad to provide them, always with the client’s knowledge and agreement, because this is a service for the person we visit and their privacy comes first.

We help with the everyday use of a person’s own devices. We do not manage financial accounts, enter payment details, or take over logins on their behalf, and we will always say so plainly if asked.

In practice

  • Video calls with children and grandchildren that connect on the first try
  • Photos found, saved, printed and shared with the people who want them
  • Notifications, passwords and storage sorted out so the device stops fighting back
  • Written notes left behind, so the steps survive until the next visit
  • Scam and phishing awareness, in plain language and without alarm
  • Alexa set up, Siri taught, and a phone configured around hearing aids
  • Thoughtful updates to family by agreement, so distance stops meaning guesswork

In the rhythm of a week

It looks different from visit to visit.

Straightforward from the start

Every plan is quoted after a conversation.

Most families settle into a standing weekly visit of several hours once they know the relationship is working. The schedule, visit length and billing rhythm are confirmed in writing before a first visit, and there is no long-term contract.

Every good relationship starts with a simple conversation.
