Companionship in Far North Dallas.
For families in 75248 who want a parent's week to have something in it worth looking forward to.
Why local matters here
This is a neighborhood people never left.
Far North Dallas filled in through the seventies and eighties, and a great many people simply stayed. The house is paid off, the trees they planted are enormous, and the street is quieter every year as the neighbors who raised children alongside them move or pass.
That is the particular shape of isolation here. Not a crisis, and not a decline. Just a familiar street with fewer people left on it to talk to, and a week that has slowly emptied out without anyone deciding it should.
A North Dallas week
What visits here usually look like.
Campbell Green
A city park at Hillcrest and Campbell with a walking trail, tennis and pickleball courts and a recreation center on site. Close enough to be a habit rather than an expedition, which is the whole point of a standing visit.
Golf, at whatever scale suits the day
The Clubs of Prestonwood sit on Preston Road inside the neighborhood. Some weeks that means a full round, some weeks a putting contest with something small riding on it. Both count.
Errands across three cities
The pharmacy in Dallas, the doctor in Richardson, lunch in Addison. Nobody who lives here thinks of those as separate trips, and we plan them the same way.
Indoors when the weather decides
Between the August heat and the occasional ice, plenty of weeks call for cards, a project, or an afternoon somewhere climate-controlled. A visit does not get cancelled for weather.
The technology, finally sorted
Photos found and shared, video calls that connect on the first try, and written steps left behind so the next visit does not start from the beginning again.
North Dallas questions
Local specifics.
Do you serve 75248?
Yes. Far North Dallas is inside our regular service area, and it sits close enough to the rest of it that a standing weekly visit holds its shape rather than slowly falling apart.
My parent has been in the same house since the seventies. Does that change anything?
It usually helps. Long-settled neighborhoods mean familiar routes, a known pharmacy, a barber who remembers the name. We build visits around what already exists rather than importing a new routine.
Everything we need is in a different city. Is that a problem?
No, and it is normal here. The doctor is often in Richardson, the shopping in Addison, the family in Plano. Crossing those lines is part of an ordinary visit and does not need to be planned around.
He still plays golf. Can that be part of it?
Gladly. A bucket of balls or a putting contest is movement, competition and conversation in one afternoon, and it tends to be a far easier sell than the word exercise.
