The city is still theirs.

Breakfast at the usual spot, museums, concerts, celebrations and the small excursions that keep a person connected to Dallas.

What this looks like

Outings and enrichment

An outing is usually the first thing to go, because the logistics get heavier than the pleasure. Parking, walking distance, timing, crowds, and somebody to go with. Removing that friction is most of the work, and it is often the difference between a person who still goes out and one who has quietly stopped.

The planning is the unglamorous part and it matters most. Going on a Tuesday morning instead of a Saturday afternoon. Knowing which entrance has the shorter walk. Knowing when to leave, ideally before anyone is tired enough to regret the whole thing. An outing that ends well is one a person will agree to repeat.

Occasions get the same treatment. A birthday that gets planned rather than quietly passing, cards and gifts organized in advance, a family gathering whose logistics do not fall entirely on one exhausted daughter. We plan around the person’s own sense of the occasion, not a generic version of it. Some people want the party. Some want one good afternoon and no fuss.

Transportation arrangements are discussed individually and confirmed in writing before any visit. We do not make blanket transportation promises through this website.

In practice

  • The standing breakfast or coffee that anchors a particular morning of the week
  • Museums, the Arboretum, concerts and exhibitions, planned around energy and crowds
  • Community events, church, clubs and the groups they already belong to
  • Golf, the driving range, or a drive through a neighborhood that means something
  • Birthdays and holidays planned properly, with the logistics handled in advance
  • Personal shopping and gift buying, so they are still the one giving the presents
  • Bishop Arts, Snider Plaza, a new diner, or finding what is actually nearby
  • A class worth turning up to, chosen because it interests them and not because it is scheduled
  • Travel and travel accommodations, planned and arranged so a trip stays realistic

In the rhythm of a week

It looks different from visit to visit.

Straightforward from the start

Every plan is quoted after a conversation.

Most families settle into a standing weekly visit of several hours once they know the relationship is working. The schedule, visit length and billing rhythm are confirmed in writing before a first visit, and there is no long-term contract.

Every good relationship starts with a simple conversation.
