A quiet tree-lined Dallas street

Preston Hollow · Dallas

Companionship in Preston Hollow.

Large, quiet, beautiful streets. Wonderful to live on, and easy to become isolated in.

An honest local observation

The thing that makes Preston Hollow lovely also makes it quiet.

Deep lots, mature trees and long driveways. It is a genuinely beautiful place to have spent forty years. It is also a neighborhood where a person can go several days without incidental contact with another human being, and nobody would notice from the outside.

Visits here almost always include somewhere to be. Preston Royal, NorthPark, the North Haven walking trail, and the small restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The house is the base, not the whole afternoon.

A Preston Hollow week

What visits here usually look like.

01

Preston Royal Village

Close, familiar and practical. Errands and lunch without a long drive on either end.

02

NorthPark Center

Level, air-conditioned and genuinely interesting to walk. A reliable answer in August, when outdoor plans stop being realistic.

03

The North Haven walking trail

Cool mornings, planned seating and a route agreed in advance, with distance and time recorded for encouragement rather than assessment.

04

Projects at home

Garden beds, photographs, the garage, the filing. Shared work, at a comfortable pace, with the satisfaction of a finished job.

05

Brain-stimulating afternoons

Games, puzzles, learning something new. Structured enough to be engaging, informal enough to be enjoyable.

Preston Hollow questions

Local specifics.

Do you serve Preston Hollow?

Yes. Preston Hollow sits just outside the Park Cities and is well within the area where we can hold a consistent weekly schedule.

The lots here are large and the streets are quiet. Does that change anything?

It does, and it is worth naming. Preston Hollow is beautiful and it is not especially walkable, which means isolation can build without anyone noticing. Visits here usually include somewhere to go.

Can you help with a garden or yard project?

Light, shared projects, yes. Gardening, organizing, sorting and similar work done together is companionship. We do not provide landscaping or any work requiring lifting or ladders.

What about NorthPark or the Arboretum?

Both are regular outings. NorthPark is climate-controlled and level, which makes it a dependable option in a Dallas summer. The Arboretum works best on cool mornings with seating planned.
